How to Mange Time




We tend have a very busy schedule and tiring day after we work and most of the time we forget our important dates or the tasks which has to be completed. It might be paying our bills & subscriptions. So is it necessary for us to manage time given time to us by utilizing it more efficiently and avoiding its wastage. We might have read books, podcast or perhaps have listened to interviews on how to manage time. But do they sound so flexible and intriguing for an average person? That is why we want a system or tool which enhances to bring change among us and improve our discipline.  

Waking up early

By waking up early we get an advantage on saving time for our own personal work. On a daily basis 35% of our time is spent on work which we do to fulfill someone dreams and it gets stretched down even our work hours . So it is necessary that we utilize our morning hours wisely.

Prepare weekly plan

Focus on allocating time for your hobbies and learning hours balance these hours based on your daily routine. Prepare a chart and stick it along with the calendar which you have prepared.

Prepare a personal calendar

It is ideal to have a custom calendar board drawn by ourselves or by getting a print and with the help of sticky notes we can assign due dates to a particular task which needs to be completed with in the time frame allocated to it.  

Time management matrix

You might have already used the idea of the famous time management matrix used widely in daily life. With this simple and powerful tool its easy to prioritize our tasks based on our importance and urgency. Take a look on the image below where we find four quadrants from Stephen Covey's time management matrix. 




Quadrant 1: Here assign the urgent and important tasks which has to be carried out and complete it as soon as possible. It can be crisis situations, deadline driven projects and pressing problems.

Quadrant 2:  Assign the tasks which are not urgent  but are important. here try to decide a pleasant time where these tasks can be done some other time. It may be finding new opportunities, long term planning, personal growth and so on.

Quadrant 3: Next comes the tasks where they are urgent but are not  important as such. these activities needs to be delegated 

Quadrant 4: Such activities or task are given least priority or we can say that which needs least attention. 

Limit social media usage

With the rise of revolutionary technological upgradation in smart phones and personal computers we can access oceans of information and digital content at our finger tips. Likewise it digital media and social networking usage has increased drastically within last few years. By this we are addicted to the content we view in social platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and many more. It drains your energy and consumes time.

Fixing daily routine

Set fixed routine from the point you wake up and start your day, as we know each day is new and a gift to work on. assign practical time allocation for the activities to be performed based on your experience. Try avoiding non value added activities which consumes time and energy, this way we can balance our time and try to get more time in hand to fulfill our other activities
